Waimea Valley Park is located on the windward side of Oahu. this Park is a nature center about a mile off the beach. In years past there was a show with Cliff diving and a waterfall. In recent years there has been so little rainfall, that the waterfall and lagoon have dried up.

While there is no longer a swimming area and diving show, there are other excellent attractions. The area has been reserved as a Birding center and botanical display area of sorts. There are tropical birds and vegetation in a beautiful setting

In addition to the nature preserve, they also have a small show with native Hawaiian games.

There is a small snack bar and gift shop near the entrance. you can go there for a quick lookaround with out paying an entrance fee. If you do decide to tour the park the fee seems a bit high at $8 but it is a beautiful park dedicated to the preservation of the native hawaiian vegetation and wild life.
