Interstate Restaurant Review:Dixie Cafe – Seguin Texas

While driving from San Antonio to Houston this weekend we stopped at the Dixie Cafe in Seguin Texas. It is located on Interstate 10 at state highway 46.

Restaurant Review: Hermanson’s Steak House in Hondo Texas

Driving out to the ranch on Fathers day weekend we passed through Hondo Texas about noon. Actually it was too close to Noon. Everyone was getting hungry so we decided to stop at Hermansons Steakhouse. I had not been there in over 30 years, but I guessed that they were still good since they were still around.

When we got in, I realized that nothing had changed since aI was last there. I mean Nothing. The food was still good. The only difference was that there was a long line to get in. They did work through the line rather quickly. Our wait was about 25 minutes. If we had arrived a half hour earlier or later, it would have been a much shorter wait. Read more
