Hurricane Tracking Models and Vacation Planning

Many people traveling for the Labor day Weekend as well as other times in the summer and fall of each year have their plans jeopardized by the presence of Hurricanes in the Carribean, Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic as well as pacific. What do you do when this happens. How do you plan?

I use several services that provide a hurricane tracking model and try to use them for planning purposes. Of course, they are just models, but they take a lot into consideration as far as highs, lows, stearing currents etc.etc, etc….

The ones I use are

I look at all of them and if they are all pointing the same way, I do not plan on vacationing there ath the time specified. If you are in the path, prepare and evacuate as soon as possible. It is easier one day earlier than one day late.
